Meet Jessa,
With over 18 years of experience as a physiotherapist and a lifelong passion for health, fitness, and movement, Jessa brings a unique combination of clinical expertise, practical experience, and genuine enthusiasm to patient care.
Jessa earned her Master of Physical Therapy from Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, after completing her Bachelor of Applied Science in Kinesiology at Simon Fraser University.
Throughout her career, she has worked in a variety of healthcare settings, including Vancouver General Hospital's burns, trauma and plastics unit, hospital-based orthopedic and stroke rehabilitation, outpatient rehabilitation, and private sports and orthopedic clinics.
In 2010, Jessa founded Balanced Life Mobile Therapy, providing personalized physiotherapy in clients' homes. She later established Anmore Physio & Wellness in 2020, creating a dedicated space where patients could receive individualized treatment without the distractions and time pressures of a busy clinic.
After many rewarding years serving the Anmore and Tri-Cities communities, Jessa relocated to Predator Ridge in 2026, bringing the same philosophy of personalized care to her new boutique home-based practice.
A Different Approach to Physiotherapy
Having worked in busy private practice settings where physiotherapists often manage several patients simultaneously, Jessa wanted to create something different.
A place where patients feel heard, supported, and never rushed.
Her approach combines thorough assessment, hands-on treatment when appropriate, individualized exercise prescription, movement education, and progressive strengthening.
Rather than simply addressing symptoms, Jessa works with patients to understand the factors contributing to their concerns and develop practical strategies for long-term improvement.
She is particularly passionate about helping people maintain strength, mobility, and confidence throughout life — whether that means getting back on the golf course, returning to the gym, recovering from surgery, or simply enjoying everyday activities without limitations.
More Than Just Physiotherapy
Jessa's interest in movement extends well beyond the treatment room.
Before becoming a physiotherapist, she worked extensively in recreation, personal training, fitness programming, and athletic therapy. Her experience includes working with the City of Burnaby's Parks and Recreation Department, Bentall Centre Athletic Club in downtown Vancouver, and as a sports trainer for the SFU Men's Field Lacrosse and Burnaby Lakers Intermediate A Lacrosse teams.
She has continued to expand her clinical knowledge through postgraduate education in sports taping, shoulder rehabilitation, pelvic and lower back conditions, and acupuncture training through the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute.
In 2024, Jessa completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in Costa Rica and became a registered yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance. Her yoga training complements her physiotherapy background, bringing additional perspectives on mobility, balance, body awareness, and movement.
Living an Active Lifestyle
For Jessa, movement isn't just her profession — it's a way of life.
An avid surfer, basketball player, snowboarder, hiker, golfer and strength-training enthusiast, she understands firsthand how important it is to remain active and continue doing the things you love.
Living at Predator Ridge provides the perfect setting to embrace that lifestyle, surrounded by golf courses, racket sports, hiking trails, mountain biking, and the natural beauty of the Okanagan.
Jessa believes that staying healthy isn't simply about recovering from injuries. It's about building strength, resilience, and confidence so you can keep moving well for years to come.
